This Privacy Policy outlines how Shield Apps ("we", "us", or "our") manages and protects the information collected through the Quick Access application ("App"). This policy applies to all users of the App.

1. Information Collection and Use

Dropbox API Permissions: Quick Access requests the following permissions to provide its services:

• files.content.read - Access to read and download your Dropbox files
• files.content.write - Access to upload, modify, and organize your Dropbox files and folders
• account_info.read - Access to your basic account information (email address, name, profile picture) for account identification and display purposes

How We Use Your Dropbox User Data:

• Dropbox Files: We access your Dropbox files solely to provide file management functionality (browse, download, upload, organize, share, delete). Files are only accessed when you explicitly request an operation.
• Email Address: Used only to identify and display which Dropbox account you are currently using within the app.
• Profile Information: Used only to display your name and profile picture in the app interface for account identification.
• No Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your Dropbox user data to our servers or any third parties. All operations are performed directly between your device and Dropbox's servers.
• No Analytics or Tracking: We do not integrate any analytics platforms (such as Firebase, Google Analytics, or similar services). We do not track your usage, behavior, or any other metrics.
• Local Storage Only: Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's system Keychain. Downloaded files are stored in your chosen local directory. No personal data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. Data Storage and Sharing

• Local Storage: All user data, including OAuth tokens and cached file information, is stored exclusively on your device. We do not maintain any servers that store your personal information or Dropbox data.
• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your Dropbox user data with any third parties. Your data is never transmitted to our servers or any external services except Dropbox's official APIs.
• Direct Communication: Quick Access communicates directly with Dropbox APIs. No intermediary servers are involved in accessing or managing your files.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

• Authentication Tokens: OAuth tokens are stored in your device's secure Keychain and can be removed at any time by signing out of your account within the app.
• Cached Data: Temporary file previews and metadata are cached locally and can be cleared by deleting the app.
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling Quick Access will remove all locally stored data, including authentication tokens and cached files. This does not affect your Dropbox files, which remain in your Dropbox account.
• Revoking Access: You can revoke Quick Access's permissions at any time through your Dropbox Account settings at https://www.dropbox.com/account/connected_apps.

4. Security

• OAuth 2.0 Authentication: We use Dropbox's secure OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication. Your Dropbox password is never stored or accessed by Quick Access.
• Secure Token Storage: Authentication tokens are stored in macOS Keychain, Apple's secure credential storage system.
• Encrypted Communication: All communication with Dropbox APIs uses HTTPS encryption.
• Minimal Permissions: We request only the minimum permissions necessary to provide the app's functionality.
• While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. However, since we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, the risk of data breach is significantly minimized.

5. Dropbox API Compliance

• Quick Access's use and transfer of information received from Dropbox APIs adheres to Dropbox Developer Policy and Dropbox Terms of Service.
• We only use the data to provide and improve the features described in this privacy policy.
• We do not use Dropbox user data for serving advertisements.
• We do not allow humans to read user data unless: (a) we have your explicit consent, (b) it is necessary for security purposes, or (c) to comply with applicable law.

6. Children's Privacy

• Quick Access is intended for users who have a Dropbox account. Dropbox accounts require users to meet Dropbox's age requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As we do not collect or store personal information on our servers, there is no risk of misuse of children's data from our App.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Control: You have full control over your Dropbox files through the app and through Dropbox directly.
• Revoke Access: You can revoke Quick Access's permissions at any time through your Dropbox Account settings.
• Data Portability: Your files remain in your Dropbox and can be accessed through any Dropbox client.
• Account Deletion: You can remove your account from Quick Access at any time by signing out within the app.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

• We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

• All file operations are performed directly through official Dropbox APIs.
• No third-party servers are involved; the App communicates directly with Dropbox services.
• User credentials and OAuth tokens are stored securely in the system Keychain on macOS.
• Authorization is handled via Dropbox OAuth 2.0 following Dropbox's security best practices.
• We adhere to the Dropbox Developer Policy and Terms of Service.
• We request only the minimum permissions (scopes) needed to provide file management functionality and never access data beyond what is necessary for the requested operations.
• We do not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, or monitoring services. Your usage of the app is completely private.
