1. Information Collection and Use
Google Drive API Scopes: Quick Access requests the following permissions to provide its services:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive - Full access to your Google Drive files to enable browsing, downloading, uploading, organizing, and managing your files and folders
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email - Access to your email address for account identification and management
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile - Access to your basic profile information for account display purposes
How We Use Your Google User Data:
- Google Drive Files: We access your Google Drive files solely to provide file management functionality (browse, download, upload, organize, share, delete). Files are only accessed when you explicitly request an operation.
- Email Address: Used only to identify and display which Google account you are currently using within the app.
- Profile Information: Used only to display your name and profile picture in the app interface for account identification.
- No Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your Google user data to our servers or any third parties. All operations are performed directly between your device and Google's servers.
- Local Storage Only: Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's system Keychain. Downloaded files are stored in your chosen local directory. No personal data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
2. Data Storage and Sharing
- Local Storage: All user data, including OAuth tokens and cached file information, is stored exclusively on your device. We do not maintain any servers that store your personal information or Google Drive data.
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your Google user data with any third parties. Your data is never transmitted to our servers or any external services except Google's official APIs.
- Direct Communication: Quick Access communicates directly with Google Drive APIs. No intermediary servers are involved in accessing or managing your files.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
- Authentication Tokens: OAuth tokens are stored in your device's secure Keychain and can be removed at any time by signing out of your account within the app.
- Cached Data: Temporary file previews and metadata are cached locally and can be cleared by deleting the app.
- Complete Removal: Uninstalling Quick Access will remove all locally stored data, including authentication tokens and cached files. This does not affect your Google Drive files, which remain in your Google account.
- Revoking Access: You can revoke Quick Access's permissions at any time through your Google Account settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
4. Security
- OAuth 2.0 Authentication: We use Google's secure OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication. Your Google password is never stored or accessed by Quick Access.
- Secure Token Storage: Authentication tokens are stored in macOS Keychain, Apple's secure credential storage system.
- Encrypted Communication: All communication with Google Drive APIs uses HTTPS encryption.
- Minimal Permissions: We request only the minimum permissions necessary to provide the app's functionality.
- While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. However, since we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, the risk of data breach is significantly minimized.
5. Limited Use Disclosure
- Quick Access's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We only use the data to provide and improve the features described in this privacy policy.
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
- We do not allow humans to read user data unless: (a) we have your explicit consent, (b) it is necessary for security purposes, or (c) to comply with applicable law.
6. Children's Privacy
- Quick Access is intended for users who have a Google account. Google accounts require users to meet Google's age requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As we do not collect or store personal information on our servers, there is no risk of misuse of children's data from our App.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and Control: You have full control over your Google Drive files through the app and through Google Drive directly.
- Revoke Access: You can revoke Quick Access's permissions at any time through your Google Account settings.
- Data Portability: Your files remain in your Google Drive and can be accessed through any Google Drive client.
- Account Deletion: You can remove your account from Quick Access at any time by signing out within the app.
